The Eurovision Reference Group met in Turin to discuss Contest preparations Host broadcaster Rai gave the team an update on plans; a first look at the stage concept; plus a tour of PalaOlimpico where the shows will take place on 10, 12 and 14 May. On November 17 we passed the ‘Eurovision Equinox’! From hereon there are fewer days until the Grand Final in May than there are since Rotterdam 2021. Exciting news from the States! The 'American Song Contest' premieres on Monday 21 February, 2022, with a two-hour primetime extravaganza on NBC. All 50 states, five U.S. territories and the nation’s capital will be represented as artists compete to win the title of ‘Best Original Song.’ Congratulations Måneskin! They fought off tough competition from Foo Fighters, Coldplay and Kings of Leon to win ‘Best Rock Band’ at this year’s MTV EMAs in Budapest. National final season is underway with ‘Eesti Laul’ hitting Estonian TV screens. Familiar face Stig Rästa was one of the first to qualify from the quarter finals. Meanwhile, Georgia has chosen their act for Turin... The mysterious Circus Mircus who describe their philosophy as: ‘The complete neglect of musical frameworks!’ We can't wait to see how this turns out! Finally, fans got together for the last #EurovisionAgain this year… The synchronised viewing party revisited Istanbul 2004 Fans voted on their favourite performances and Ruslana retained her crown.
